The practice was selected to participate in a research project looking at reducing our carbon footprint.
In conjunction with Warwick Medical School, we are working to create a green action plan which we’ll work on over the next 12 months to reduce our carbon usage.
NHS emissions are equivalent to 4% of England’s total carbon footprint. We’re using a variety of tools to help reduce our carbon usage including the green impact for health toolkit. This gives over 100 actions that can improve the environmental sustainability and quality of any general practice.
We feel it’s vital to be aware of our climate emergency and do what we can to reduce our impact on the planet.
