Antenatal

You will be referred to the midwifery team and the details are sent to you in a text message. They will arrange a booking appointment for you where the midwife will ask a few questions and carry out some general health checks.

Cervical screening

Women who are aged between 25-64 years will be invited for regular screening. A 20 minute appointment should be made with the nurse. Exceptions are possible – please talk to a nurse or doctor if you have any concerns.

Child health and immunisation

You will be invited to attend for all childhood immunisations by a central team. Once you receive an invitation, please call to make a 20 minutes appointment with the practice nurse.

Chronic disease reviews – including Diabetes, CHD and Asthma

Led by our nursing team, this service offers advice and general health check-ups to patients with the above conditions.

Family Planning

There is a limited family planning service run by our GP. Please call reception for more information.

Minor ops

Dr Sharples offers a minor ops service to provide injections, incisions and excisions. You’ll be added to a waiting list and contacted once an appointment is available. We often offer minor op appointments on Wednesday evenings or Saturday mornings.

Travel

Our practice nurse offers a travel advice and immunisation service. You will need to complete a questionnaire and return to the surgery. The team will then book a 20 minute appointment with the practice nurse for vaccinations and advice. Please find a link to the form here: TRAVEL QUESTIONNAIRE

Would care

Our HCAs are experienced at dealing with wound care, from removing stitches to dressings. Please call to make a 20 minute appointment.
